Two Killed In Beckham County Car Accident

Two peole, including one Rocky man, were killed Sunday morning, Feb. 2, 2020, in a single-vehicle accident in Beckham County.

According to the report issued by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Kirbie Celsor, 27, of Rocky and Kaitlyn Porter, 22, of Reydon, were traveling southbound on Highway 283 near County Road 1240 in Beckham County at approximately 7:15 a.m., when the vehicle departed the roadway to the left for an unknown reason. The vehicle, a 2007 Chevy Silverado pickup, then struck a fence and rolled multiple times before coming to a rest on its wheels. Both Celsor, who was driving the vehicle, and Porter were ejected from the vehicle.

Celsor was transported by Air Evac to Weatherford Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead due to injuries resulting from the crash. Porter was transported by Sinor EMS to Great Plains Medical Center in Elk City, where she was pronounced dead due to injuries sustained in the crash.

The report indicated neither Celsor nor Porter were using their safety belts at the time of the crash. Both the condition of the driver and the cause of the accident are still under investigation by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
