SWODA is working with local communities to understand how we can better support you and our Southwest region as a whole. We are conducting an analysis of communities in our region to assist with community development goals and to create local action plans. It is pivotal that we engage with community members to gain their insights.

Community development programs do not work without community involvement. We cannot do this without you. Please take five minutes to fill out the Community Development Survey on SWODA.ORG.

You can also have a survey mailed to you by contacting Debbie Cohen, Vista economic development volunteer, at 580-562-5128 or email vista@swoda. og.

You know your communities best. In the five minutes it takes to complete the survey, you could have the next idea or insight that makes all the difference for your town. Your survey responses will guide action plans to become more competitive and resilient in this recovering economic landscape.

This information will also help build a regional plan that enables us to apply for grants. It will also help us prioritize the projects you care about most to guide the grants SWODA pursues for the Southwest region.

SWODA comprises eight counties—Beckham, Custer, Greer, Harmon, Jackson, Kiowa, Roger Mills and Washita—covering over 7,000 square miles and approximately 110,000 residents.

SWODA was created to strengthen the economic and social development of the region through various specialized services such as the following: 911 Administration, Aging Services, Community and Economic Development, Geographic Information Systems, Rural Fire Defense and Workforce Development.
