The Board of Education of the Cordell School District has passed a resolution setting the dates for the election of new board members. If there are more than two candidates for the two open seats, a primary will be held Feb. 11, 2020. A general election will be held April 7, 2020, if only two candidates file for each position on the ballot or if no candidate in the primary receives more than 50 percent of the ballots cast.
Two positions, a fiveyear term currently held by Chris Johnson, and the remaining three years of a term currently held by Mike Reimer, are scheduled to be on the ballot.
