Cloud Chief Fire Department emergency medical technician and fire chief Nocona Cook was recently presented with the Enable Midstream Partners-Oklahoma City Thunder Safety Partner of the Month award for January 2020.
Enable Midstream, in partnership with the the Thunder, recognize local emergency responders throughout Oklahoma who exemplify the values of safety, integrity, accountability, customer service, and teamwork. The monthly awardees are selected from nominations received through the Thunder’s website.
In addition to a $1,500 donation to the Cloud Chief Fire Department, Cook will also receive four tickets to a Thunder game with access to the Enable Midstream suite. He will also be called down to the floor to be recognized during the game and a page about his work and the Cloud Chief Fire Department will be published in the game program.
“I really wasn’t expecting this,” Cook said. “It’s a really nice gesture and it’s nice to be recognized. It’s all very humbling, I just try to do what I can for my community.”
