As you approach Cordell’s newest boutique you are immediately complimented and welcomed by the sign on their door.

‘Hello beautiful, come on in.’

Having been open for a couple of weeks now, Hello Beautiful Boutique owner Crystal Foust said that business so far has been great.

Foust, who was born and raised in Cordell and graduated from here in 1997, opened up her boutique alongside her mother Brenda Lauer.

“My mom retired this year and I got to talking about opening up a boutique again and my mom said, ’Let’s do it!’ So we found a building and started putting everything together,” Foust said.

Hello Beautiful Boutique offers a variety of items for women and girls ranging from clothing, accessories, baby items, and lots of decor.

Catering towards women does not stop there for the boutique as Foust says the name of her boutique is also of importance.

“It's kinda to empower women and to make them feel good. I think there's a lot of women who need that nowadays,” she said. “I love that the front door says, hello beautiful, come on in… I think it’s good to hear uplifting words sometimes.”

This message continues to ring true as you walk through the boutique as you see walls decorated with positive and inspirational messages.

Opening a boutique is nothing new for Foust after having previously owned Barbed Wire and Lace when she lived in Sulphur, Oklahoma.

While in Sulphur, Foust ran that boutique for around two and a half years, and she says the experience she gained from running it has helped her with her latest endeavor.

“I’ve learned from the last one. Things I can do and things that I can’t. Things that work and things that don't work,” she said.

Before opening her boutique, Foust spent her time as a licensed practical nurse, however, with raising kids and the recent pandemic, Foust began to work on and off as a nurse before ultimately deciding to take a break from it and focus on her boutique full time.

Looking ahead, Foust plans to add a tanning bed and spray tan bed machine for those interested, and those are set to arrive at her boutique next month.

Foust said she is excited to be open, and looking ahead, she looks forward to getting to meet the people that come by her boutique.

“It’s been nice being back home and getting to see old friends and acquaintances and meeting new people.”

For those interested in visiting Hello Beautiful Boutique, it is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesdays through Saturdays and is located at 103 B North Market Street. If you have any questions you can contact Foust at 580-799-3037.
