Felony Burglary Warrant Issued For Clinton Woman

A Clinton woman is facing imprisonment for up to seven years after a warrant for her arrest was issued in Washita County. Feleisha Deon Hill, 37, has been charged with a single felony count of burglary in the second degree after allegedly breaking into the Washita County home of Michael and Catherine Stewart on June 10, 2019.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, Stewart contacted the Washita County Sheriff’s Department after receiving an alert on his cell phone from his home security monitoring system. Stewart and a friend, Calvin Stehr, went to the residence to investigate the alert while awaiting the law enforcement response. Stewart waited in his car with his two children while Stehr went inside to investigate.

Stehr allegedly found Hill, who is the biological mother of a child in foster care with the Stewarts, in an upstairs bedroom rummaging through personal belongings. Stehr confronted Hill and she immediately walked outside of the home. Once outside, Stewart reminded her of the protective order which prohibited her from being in or around the house. She then reportedly left the area.

Sheriff’s Deputy Russell Stewart arrived on the scene after Hill’s departure and took statements from both Michael Stewart and Calvin Stehr. During that time, Catherine Stewart was filing an additional report with the Clinton Police Department in reference to Hill attempting to gain entry into her place of work after leaving the Stewart residence.

In addition to the burglary charge, Hill also has an outstanding warrant in Custer County for a 2019 protective order violation charge. She was convicted of misdemeanor marijuana possession in 2008 and of failure to compel a child to attend school in 2015.
