The Cordell Beacon is pleased to announce the hiring of Robyn England as the paper’s new advertising sales representative.
“I’m thrilled that we could bring Robyn into The Beacon family,” said managing editor Bob Henline. “She brings with her a wealth of newpaper and advertising experience, graphic design skills, and a passion for sales and customer service. I think she’s going to be a very valuable addition to the team we’ve created here.”
England, a Weatherford native, worked at the Weatherford Daily News for almost a decade. She left Weatherford and moved to Dill City after becoming engaged to a Washita County man in 2017. At the Weatherford Daily News England both sold and designed advertisements for her clients, skills which she hopes to continue to use to help her new clients at The Cordell Beacon.
England said she is excited to get back into the newspaper business.
“I love how it’s busy and deadline-driven,” she said. “It’s always busy and I love to keep busy. There’s always something to do in the newspaper business, always something new to work on. I also love meeting new people and I’m looking forward to working with the Cordell business community.”
“Robyn’s already out on the street meeting our clients and building new relationships,” Henline added. “When she comes to see you make her feel welcome and buy an ad from her!”
