The Dill Work and Play OHCE met July 13, 2021, at 1:30, in the Dill City Community Center.
Jane Shull called the meeting to order by leading the Pledge to the Flag of the United States.
Anna Prickett led the group in the song The Star-Spangled Banner.
Each member gave a favorite thought from the Bible for the Thought of the Day.
Lowayne Piercey read the minutes from June, and Anna gave the treasure report.
Jane read a thank you note from Vickie Werner for the flowers in remembering her mother, and our club member, Darlene Moore.
Jane went over the Washita County OHCE News Letter.
The Washita County Council will be July 28 at 12, in the OSU Extension office and each member will bring a salad for lunch.
The idea of making something new from something old, updates on the County Fair, and the OHCE Silent Auction were discussed.
Lowayne gave a report on the 4-H Club. They had a very informative meeting on county offices and how they work.
A report was given on t the State OHCE meeting that was held July 11 thru 13.
Anna gave the lesson A Feast of Festivals. The lesson was about the many trips possible to take in the State of Oklahoma, and everyone was anxious to try some of the spots.
The cultural arts for this month were presented by Anna, Turquoise earrings and Jane a new travel bag, which had many pockets and shoulder strap.
Jane closed the meeting by leading the Lord’s Prayer.
Anna gave the door prize won by Vickie Werner. Anna Prickett also served refreshments to Jane Shull, Vickie Werner, and Lowayne Piercey.
