Cordell Chamber Hosts Annual Banquet

Cordell’s business community turned out in droves Monday evening for the annual Cordell Chamber of Commerce Banquet and Awards Ceremony. The event, catered by Market Street Deli and the Cordell Christian Home, was billed as a tremendous success for the chamber and Cordell’s business community.

Judge Christopher Kelly played emcee for the evening, introducing keynote speaker Mike Reimer of Mike’s Meats, who won last year’s Business of the Year award. He also introduced the chamber’s award winners: United Store 356 as the chamber’s Business of the Year, Shorty’s for the Community Engagement Award, and the Cordell Community Garden for this year’s Community Improvement Award. The final award of the evening, the Cordell Beacon and Great Plains Bank Cordell Person of the Year, was awarded to Vicky Dunlap for her ongoing service to the Cordell Community.

“Thank you Cordell,” Dunlap said. “Life is all about giving, not receiving, and I love you all.”
