Cordell’s Chamber of Commerce has announced that it will host a special question and answer session with the candidates running for Washita County offices.
Washita County Sheriff candidates Russell Stewart and Kevin Rozell, County Clerk candidates Kristen Dowell and Angie Strobel, County Assessor candidates Sue Fletcher and Rusty Bookout, and District II County Commissioner candidates Leo Goeringer and David Gray plan to participate.
Upon arrival at the event, audience members can fill out cards with questions for the candidates. Chamber Board Members will screen the questions to ensure that they are relevant and appropriate.
Each candidate will give a one-minute introduction, and there will be a one-minute limit on answers as well.
“Know Your Candidates: Washita County Q&A” will be held at the Washita Theater at 111 S. Market on June 4th from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m.
This is a great opportunity for voters to engage directly with the candidates, ask questions, and learn more about their visions for Washita County in order to make an informed decision on Election Day, June 18th.
After the Q&A, attendees can meet the candidates face-to-face and pick up campaign materials in the theater lobby.
The event is free and open to the public. Concessions will be available for purchase.
Chamber Executive Director Sarah Lau said “Mark your calendars and spread the word! Let’s make an informed decision, together.”
