The Washita County Board of Commissioners helped kick off Washita County’s celebration of National 4-H Week by signing the National 4-H Week Proclamation with 11 4-H members and two program leaders in attendance. The proclamation designates Oct. 6-12, 2019, at National 4-H Week in Washita County and commends the 4-H program for its positive impacts on area youth for the past 110 years.

The 4-H program boasts more than 166,500 participants across the state, hailing from diverse ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds, served by more than 4,700 volunteers.
