Chamber Of Commerce Banquet Set For Jan. 27

The Cordell Chamber of Commerce will be holding their annual banquet and awards ceremony at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 27, 2020, at the Washita County Activity Center.

In addition to a delicious meal provided by Market Street Deli and the Cordell Christian Home, the event will feature the chamber’s annual awards. The awards include the Community Service Award, Chamber Board Member of the Year, and the Business of the Year. The Cordell Beacon will also be presenting the second annual Great Plains Bank/ Cordell Beacon Person of the Year. Last year’s Business of the Year winner, Mike Reimer of Mike’s Meats, will be the keynote speaker for the event.

The chamber officers will be on hand to discuss the events and plans for the chamber during the coming year.

Tickets for the banquet are available now and can be purchased for $13 in advance or $16 at the door. The chamber is also looking for table sponsors. Rates are $105 for a half-table including three tickets and $210 for a full table with six tickets. Tickets and sponsorships can be purchased from the chamber office or by calling 832.3538.

Chamber president Jennifer Cary said the banquet will be a great time for everyone.

“We ecourage everyone to come out and enjoy the evening of fun and entertainment,” she said. “This is how we recognize and honor the business people of Cordell for their ongoing contributions to our community. These are the business people who donate to the community’s various causes and groups and help create the family friendly community we’re used to having. Help us show them how much we apprecated what they do for all of Cordell.”
