After Homecoming activities being scaled down in recent years due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Cordell students are excited about building floats, participating in Spirit Days, and preparing for the parade and pep assembly that will be held on the downtown square Friday afternoon. The parade will begin at 1:00 p.m. with the pep assembly directly following. Elementary classes will walk in the parade and class floats and the Blue Devil Band will be featured.
The Blue Devils will take on the Carnegie Wildcats at 7:00 p.m., but be sure to arrive early to catch the crowning of the Homecoming Royalty.
Students vying for the title of Homecoming Queen include Senior candidate Bailey Troub, daughter of Ray Troub and Jean Ann Balzer, escorted by Senior Blaine Larsen, son of Chris Larsen and Haley Shelburne; Junior candidate Cheyann Edison, daughter of John and Becky Edison, escorted by Senior Cade Walker, son of Shaun Walker and Sundy Walker; Sophomore candidate Tatym King, daughter of Don King and Tiffany Weese, escorted by Senior Cale McCoy, son of Jim and Debbie Hines and Shannon and Robert Kirby.
