With her family by her side, Maxine Rhodes Parker passed to her Heavenly Home, Saturday, November 6, 2021, at The BeeHives Homes Assisted Living in Amarillo.

She was born May 24, 1937 in Washita County, Oklahoma to Glenn and Jamie (Emerson) Rhodes. On May 27, 1955, Dewayne Parker and Maxine Rhodes were married in Anadarko, Oklahoma.

She was a long standing member of the First Baptist Church, Borger. She had a servants heart and was unselfish, always lending a hand to whoever or whatever was needed.

She loved her Lord and her heart was devoted to the Lord. Her smile was so welcoming for everyone.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Dewayne Parker who passed in 1998 and a brother, Philip Rhodes.

Left behind to forever cherish her memory is a daughter, Delonda Phillips and husband Scott of Dumas, Texas; a son, Dudley Parker and wife Carla of Amarillo, Texas; 2 grandchildren: Lindsey Beth Parker of Amarillo, Texas and Ty Wayne Parker and wife Victoria of Sanger, Texas; 3 great-grandchildren: Wyatt Wayne Parker, Evelyn Rose Parker and Levi Jace Parker; 2 sisters: Glenda Sue Waugh and Doris Penton both of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and numerous other family members and countless friends.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Brown’s Chapel of the Fountains, 206 W. 1st St., Borger.

Interment will be held Wednesday, November 10 at 4:00 PM at Sappington Chapel Cemetery, Cordell, Oklahoma.

In lieu of flowers, the family humbly requests that donations be made in Maxine Rhodes Parker’s honor to the Alzheimer’s Association National Processing Center, PO Box 96011, Washington, D.C. 20090-6011, please note that the donation is to be given to the West Texas Chapter.

The family will welcome friends on Tuesday, November 9 at Brown’s Chapel of the Fountains from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM.
