JD Hamlett, 82, of Cordell, Oklahoma passed away peacefully on November 23, 2022 at the Cordell Christian Home in Cordell, Oklahoma. He was born on December 3, 1939 to William Bill and Alma (Jackson) Hamlett in Arizona. JD grew up and attended school in Deer Wood, Oklahoma. He was a Retail Truck Driver during his working life. JD loved hunting, fishing, and fighting chickens. He was an avid coon hunter.
JD was a member of the Grace Baptist Church in Dill City, Oklahoma, he loved preaching the word and singing gospel hymns. JD will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Survivors include: Children: Scotty Hamlett and wife Terri, Alvarado, TX and Brian Hamlett; Numerous Grandchildren and great grandchildren. Brothers: Floyd Hamlett and wife Robin, Dill City, OK, Delbert Hamlett and wife Linda Hamlett, Hobart, OK. Sister: Ann Maxey and husband Randy, Dill City, OK and a host of other family and friends.
Preceded in death by his Parents: William Bill & Alma Hamlett, children: Jerry Don Hamlett and Kristina Marie Thomas, Brothers: Billy Hamlett, Elbert Hamlett, and Troy Hamlett, Sisters: Faye Hamlett, and Mary Schrock and Aunt: Wanda Hamlett.
Funeral: 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 26, 2022, Grace Baptist Church, Dill City, Oklahoma.
