Darlene Moore

Oct. 15, 1927 – June 17, 2021

Darlene Moore was born October 15th, 1927 west of Dill City, Oklahoma on the family farm to Agnes Mamie (Kennemer) and Clarence Banner Graves. She passed away Thursday, June 17th, 2021 at her home in Dill City, Oklahoma at the age of 93 years, 8 months and 2 days.

Darlene grew up in Dill City, Oklahoma where she attended school graduating in 1946. Shortly after graduation she was married to James “Jimmie” William Moore on November 8, 1946 at Sayre, Oklahoma. After their marriage they began their life together on the family farm where they raised their children. It wasn’t until 1981 that they moved to town in the house on Rambo Drive. Darlene spent all of her life in Dill City, Oklahoma and continued to care for herself and her family and could even be seen driving herself around until May of 2021. She spent many hours at the Senior Citizens Center and enjoyed cooking, being a member of the Home Extension Club, hosting family reunions, gardening and spending time with her family and friends. Most will remember Darlene as being a woman that was a member of the Dill City Church of Christ for her entire life, one that never let the opportunity to help someone pass or ever let anyone leave the house hungry.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 sisters and 4 brothers.

Darlene is survived by 3 daughters, Vickie Werner and husband, Lyndal, Chandler, OK, Jamie Moore, Dill City, OK and Penny Reeve and husband, Roger, Dill City, OK; 5 grandchildren, Lyn Werner and wife, Kristy, Perkins, OK, Jeff Werner, Stillwater, OK, Zack Moore, Dill City, OK, Jennifer Cox and husband, James, Dill City, OK and Jared Reeve and wife, Kayla, Dill City, OK; 8 great grandchildren, Cody Werner, Jessica Werner, Trevor Teague, Carson Cox, Tucker Reeve, Tanner Reeve, Tatyum Reeve and Chevy Joe Moore; 2 brothers, Don Graves and wife, Mary and Ted Graves and wife, Peggy; 1 sister, Pearl Matlock and husband, Ralph and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Monday, June 21st, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. at the Dill City Church of Christ at 5th & Roach.
