Arthur Leslie Parker was born July 1st, 1947 in Kiddieminster, England to Mavis (Church) and Lesley Parker.
He passed away at his home in Cordell, Oklahoma at the age of 74 years and 25 days.
Arthur, known by his friends as Art, grew up in Kiddieminster, England where he attended school. He began working at a young age and worked in various different factories always climbing the ladder quickly and serving as supervisor in many of those jobs. He was then married to Christine Lentz and they had three daughters: Rachel, Sarah and Laura. In 1978 he came to America, landing in New York and quickly found work driving cars back and forth to California. During his last trip his car broke down in Cordell, Oklahoma and he decided to make his home there. Art later met and was married to Leanne Parker and they made their home in Cordell and west of Clinton. They added to their family two sons, Art, Jr. and Thomas Wesley to Leanne’s daughter, Danielle. Art began working in the oil field and like always climbed the ladder where he traveled worldwide converting any kind of water to drinking water. He ended his career with Consolidated, retiring in 2011. In his spare time he enjoyed reading, swimming, growing any kind of plants and spending time with his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother, Robin Parker.
Art is survived by his companion, Floe Jones, of the home; 2 sons, Art Parker, Jr., Piedmont, OK and Thomas Parker, Weatherford, OK; 3 daughters, Rachael Parker Hall and her husband, Royce, Tulsa, OK, Rebecca Parker, and Sarah Healey and husband, Justin; 9 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 1 niece, Laura Parker and Richard McCormick and a host of other relatives and friends.
