May is a time for celebrating and enjoying the spring weather that has blessed us with a little bit of rain. CMH started May celebrating our teams in Lab, Business Office, Nursing and this past week we celebrated the whole team with Health-Care Week. I am very blessed to work with a healthcare team that is working to provide you the best care in Washita County and Western Oklahoma. I encourage you to thank those you know that work at CMH and continue to support our growth these past 6 months.

Things at CMH are busy as we continue to serve those in need from Washita County and those from Custer County. The growth in our Emergency Room visits and Outpatient visits keep us working hard to care for you. We celebrate with Cordell EMS the addition of their new ambulance with the addition of two trained Paramedics brings an expanded critical skill to our emergency services. We partner with them in providing excellent emergency 24/7 care to our community.

The CMH outpatient services of Outpatient Infusions, advance radiology with Nuclear Med testing and 64-slice CT and the Wound Care provide services to you for advance testing, post care, helping you to stay at home.

May has brought the addition of our new system for medication administration. Training and preparing equipment is occurring the next couple weeks. June 1 we will be fully functioning with the new system.

It is a system that provides technology with advanced safety in the process of providing patients their medication.

The Cordell Community Health Needs Assessment started this month with the online survey. We have shared this on our Facebook page and website. If you have not had the opportunity to participate please go to this Survey Link: https://www. surveymonkey.com/r/Cordell Your input is important as we look to what the community needs for current health and improving health. Thank you for your participation.

Summer is just around the corner and I want to encourage you to stay hydrated,,,,, drink lots of water and watch out for the sun, protect yourself.

Please keep your eye on our Facebook page for more news and information about happenings at CMH.
