We are lucky to live in a town likeours, where the kids can go trick or treating and the parents feel free to go with them. It’s not like it used to be, though...I only had five come to my house so I went down to the square and that area was buzzing. The Senior Citizens Center is going to serve a Thanksgiving dinner on Friday, November 17th. Please call 832-5031 to call ahead and pre-order. Thye will serve turkey and dressing, green beans, candied yams, devilled eggs, hot rolls, and pumpkin pie. That sounds wonderful! There will be a Cordell Veterans Day program on Friday November 10th at 9:00 a.m. in the High School Auditorium. Everyone is invited to attend. There will be a reception held in the lobby for all veterans and their spouses following the program, presented by the FCCLA organization. The Cordell City Council will be meeting on Monday November 20th at 6:00 p.m. so try to come and be a part of what is happening in Cordell.
