Members of the Burns Flat-Dill City Sr. 4-H club taught a workshop at the BF-DC grade school in Burns Flat to the BF-DC clover buds and Jr. 4-H members.

We taught them how to make 3 different types of ornaments. The ornaments we made were all red white and blue themed because we made them for the Clinton Veterans Center for their Christmas tree this year.

We also had every participant of the workshop sign one big thank you card that we sent with the more than 120 ornaments we finished and donated. To add some variety to the Christmas tree we had each participant make 3 different ornaments. My personal favorite was the baby Christmas trees made out of colored popsicle sticks that the younger 4-H members then decorated with beads and sequins and glitter. One other type of ornament we made were candy canes made out of pipe cleaners with beads strung onto the pipe cleaners and bent into shape. After all of the ornaments were finished, we added a ribbon to hang them up by. Brance Barnett delivered the ornaments and the thank you letter to the veteran’s center in Clinton and Dixie Damron received them. The ornaments are currently displayed on a Christmas tree for the veterans to enjoy this Holiday season.
