Friday night and Saturday morning Braxton and Brance Barnett went to the Science Museum of Oklahoma in Oklahoma City. This event is called bright nights, and it is hosted by the state 4-H STEM Specialist, Kelly Wardlaw.

To the editor and whom it may concern, I highly recommend that everyone who is registered to vote, votes Tuesday, February 13th. Teachers, staff, and everyone with a vested interest in the learning environment, teaching environment, and overall welfare of the Cordell school system need to make their vote heard.

I’m back! In the last month I have been to Houston, Texas; Denver, Colorado; Indianapolis, Indiana; Norman, Oklahoma; and Oklahoma City! I figured at this st(age) in my life I need to travel when I can! I hope I was missed. It is that time again- The men at the Cordell Methodist Church are planning the Annual Groundhog Supper for February 7th from 5 – 7 p.m.

To the Editor and to whom it may concern, I am writing to express my concerns of the Cordell school board and superintendent. In my opinion, I do not believe that the school board members really know what is going on in the school system. If they do know or haven’t been told by Mr. Victory what is going on, then they are not doing their job.

DILL WORK AND PLAY OHCE

The Dill Work and Play OHCE met January 10, 2024 at 1:30 in the Dill City Community Center. Jane Shull opened the meeting with a welcome. Emma Bingham led the group in the Pledge to the Flag. Anna Prickett led the group singing “The Little Brown Church.”

WILLING WORKERS

We met at the old Methodist church in Canute at 11:30. Amber Hall was the host. Several brought things to help Amber since she will be leading us, and there is so much to do starting the new year. We had a lovely lunch of chicken salad pushers and chips. Amber called the meeting to order at 12:15. We began with the flag salute and citing the county creed. Amber read the devotional.

The Community Christmas Cantata will be held at the First Baptist Church on December 10th at 5 p.m. Bring a finger food for the fellowship afterward if you want to help out.
