Back to school days are here! It seems like it was a short summer! Hope everyone had a good time at the park, the pool, the ball fields, and manymore things that the city of Cordell provides for its citizens. Only two more weeks before the Washita County Free Fair.

Weekly 4H Club Report

The Washita County Free Fair is quickly approaching so make sure to get your fair projects ready. This year your project will have to be entered online. Tuesday the 8th will be interviews for top three record books in the Jr. and Sr. 4-H member age groups. Good luck to all who are interviewing!

Everyone should thank the Chamber of Commerce for having the Monday afternoon movies for the summer and the library for its Story Hour. Also thank the churches that held VacationBible School. These were great summer activities! This has been a fast forward Summer!

Weekly 4H Club Activity Report

It was a very busy week for the Burns Flat-Dill City Sr. 4-H club. Washita county held Duds to Dazzle at the county extension center in Cordell. Two members from our club, Abby and Kathryn Sirmon and our club leader Larissa Mason, were in attendance.

The Cordell City Council will meet on Monday July 17th at 6:00 p.m. Keep up on what is happening in Cordell and show our Council that we believe in their decisions by attending Council meetings! Vacation Bible School will be held at the First Baptist Church from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m.

To be successful in most endeavors, it’s important to develop good habits — and that’s certainly the case for investors. And the earlier one develops these habits, the better.

There is going to be a wonderful fireworks show at the airport on the evening of the 1st of July sponsored by the City and the Cordell Fire Department. Last year was great so I am sure this year will be too! Everyone is invited.

BF-DC Weekly 4H Club Report

The Burns Flat-Dill City Senior 4-H Club has had an eventful summer so far. Cupcake Wars were held Tuesday, May 23 in Cordell. Our Club had 6 participants in the Intermediate Division and 6 in the Senior Division. Everyone had creative cupcake designs.

If you’re happy and you know it smile! (are you smiling? I hope so!) The pool is open for the kids and the water walkers, the park is beautiful and the ball park looks great! Enjoy them! Remember the movie on Mondays at 2 p.m. sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce.
