Cordell Senior overcomes health obstacle to find success

Picking up soccer was a shot in the dark for senior Spencer Williams, who was talked into the decision by a friend. “Me and my friend Tugger Selman talked about me doing soccer in my senior year just for the experience. It’s my last chance so I figured I would give it a shot,” Spencer said.

Transferring from Enid schools to Cordell in her fifth grade year was a rocky shift for Piper Gallagher. Though she fits in well with the Cordell crowd now, at first Gallagher experienced issues with mental health, and struggled with the culture shock of moving abruptly to a small town.

Karate Academy students show skills at Relay for Life

BASEBALL The Cordell boys baseball team played three games last week, picking up their first loss of the season against Snyder. Despite the loss, the Devils came out of the Shortgrass Conference Tournament as consolation champions.
