Cordell Pee Wee Wrestlers headed to State

Cordell has seven pee wee wrestlers going to State. The Oklahoma Kids Wrestling Association (OKWA) 45th Annual State Tournament will take place on Friday and Saturday, February 17-18, in Tulsa, OK.

CORDELL BLUE DEVIL BASKETBALL REPORT

This week the Lady Blue Devils and Blue Devils played host to Hollis and traveled to Arapaho-Butler for the district playoffs. The Lady Devils were able to get off to a good state against the Lady Tigers, out scoring them in the first quarter 15-13.

The Lady Blue Devils and Blue Devils had a busy weekend, as they traveled to Mangum on Thursday night, played Snyder at home on Friday, and traveled to Navajo on Saturday.

The Lady Blue Devils and Blue Devils were scheduled to travel to Mangum on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, but that game was canceled due to inclement weather. This game will now be played on Thursday, February 2, 2023.

Cordell wrestler places in OKWA Novice State Tournament

    Saturday, January 28, Mason Hileman, Cordell, competed in the Oklahoma Kids Wrestling Association Novice State Tournament which took place in Oklahoma City. Hileman placed third in the 8U 46 lb division.

Last week both the Lady Blue Devils and Blue Devils were busy, both teams playing four games in five days. The week started off with a home game against Frederick.

Cordell Blue Devil wrestler Baylor Moore took first place in the girls division of the Western Conference Tournament in Cache, OK on Monday, January 9. At only 117 pounds, Moore pinned her components in less than a minute in all four of her matches.

Last week the Lady Blue Devils and Blue Devils traveled to Carnegie on Tuesday and hosted Sayre on Friday. The Lady Blue Devils came out battling but found themselves down 12-10 after one quarter of play. After a back-and-forth 2nd quarter they found themselves down 21-16 at the half.

Blue Devil Basketball teams claim wins

This past weekend the Lady Blue Devils and Blue Devil Basketball teams traveled to Arapaho for the Western Equipment Classic. The girls started the weekend off with a hard-fought loss at the hands of the Amber-Pocasset Panthers.
