MOORE, REEVES TAKE FIRST IN WRESTLING TOURNAMENTS
Cordell Blue Devil wrestler Baylor Moore took first place in the girls division of the Western Conference Tournament in Cache, OK on Monday, January 9. At only 117 pounds, Moore pinned her components in less than a minute in all four of her matches.
Her mother, Leigh Campbell commented, “She is really an amazing wrestler and so fun to watch!”
After competing in the Hub City Middle School/Junior High Tournament in Clinton, OK, which took place Friday and Saturday, January 20 and 21, Moore proudly accepted 1st place in the girls division at 117 pounds.
Another Cordell Blue Devil wrestler, Briggs Reeves, took first place in the Hub City Middle School, Junior High Tournament at 92 pounds. Reeves was victorious in all four matches.
Although the JH/HS versus Hobart match scheduled for Tuesday, January 24, was canceled due to inclement weather, viewers and fans can show their support on Thursday, February 2, for the next home match in Cordell at 5:00 p.m. for JH/HS vs Clinton.
