Cordell Junior High and High School wrestlers were in action this past weekend at the Hub City Classic in Clinton, bringing home multiple podium finishes and strong performances against tough competition.
Cordell Junior High competed on Thursday, January 29, and turned in impressive results. Destiny Bailey earned a third-place finish at 102 pounds, while Paisley Campbell placed second at 138 pounds. Tyson Dickerson also claimed second place at 92 pounds, and Jaxon Jones finished second at 144 pounds.
Cordell saw two champions in the 144- and 195-pound divisions. Dalton Sparks took first place at 144 pounds, and Braxton Campbell took first at 195 pounds. Cooper Chagollia rounded out the Junior High success with a first-place finish at 126 pounds.
Cordell High School wrestlers competed on Friday and Saturday at the Hub City Classic. Competing against a deep field of competitors, Briggs Reeves secured a sixth-place finish at 138 pounds.
