Cordell Blue Devil Pie Auction, Pro Day and game schedule announced
The upcoming school year is just days away, and so is the Cordell Blue Devil Football season!
Cordell Blue Devil football players are ready to kick off the new school year and football season by introducing themselves to their fans and showcasing their talents.
Mark those calendars and set your alarms for these two significant dates: Thursday, August 10th, Cordell will host their annual Meet the Players and Pie Auction at 7:00 pm. Community members can go to the Blue Devil Stadium to rally and support the football players and cheerleaders.
The ever-so-loved event takes place as an auction where those who attend can bid on a pie that gives them a chance to “pie” a player or cheerleader in the face, along with the opportunity to pie the coaches. Show your Blue Devil Pride and help occu-pie the stands.
All the money raised from the fundraiser will go towards any travel expenses, team uniforms, or equipment needed for the football players and cheerleaders.
Friday, August 11, beginning at 8:00 pm, Cordell Blue Devil Football will host their Pro Day, where fans can fill the stands as the players showcase their abilities, individually and as a team.
The team will scrimmage with Thomas/Crescent in Cordell on August 18th at 6:00 p.m., and the first game will be at home against the Sayre Eagles on August 25th at 7:00 p.m. See the complete game schedule on page 12.
The 2023-2024 coaching staff includes Head Coach Cody Gilmore and Assistant Coaches Vaughn Blankenship, Jordan Dages, Cody Tramble, and Jacolby Mitchell.
