Perkins qualifies for state wrestling
Junior Shane Perkins qualified for the state tournament Saturday at the State Fair Arena in Oklahoma City. Perkins finished fifth in the 182-pound weight class in the Class 3A West Regional tournament and punched his ticket to state. Two other Cordell wrestlers competed in the regionals at Plainview High School in Ardmore on Saturday and Monday. Freshman, Tucker Priebe and junior, Billy Scott both gained valuable experience. Because of COVID-19 precautions, the regional tournament was split over two days.
