ACordell woman is facing felony charges after investigators say she embezzled thousands of dollars from her employer, a local heating and air company based in Clinton.

Cordell FFA shines at Best of the Southwest LDE Contest

Cordell FFA members recently traveled to Hobart to compete in the Opening/ Closing Ceremonies division. Both teams have spent the last month memorizing speaking parts, rehearsing and perfecting their “FFA voice.” After putting their skills to the test, we can say their hard work is paying off!

The Washita County Farm Bureau board and FB Women’s Committee held the 2025 annual meeting on September 23, at the Community Center beginning at 6:00 p.m.The meeting started with a bingo party and hot dog feed. Eighty-six people served hot dogs, and bingo had $2000 given in prizes.

Cordell’s Calliy Walker completed an incredible cross country season with an outstanding performance and was surrounded by the support of her family, coaches, teammates, and supporters at the OSSAA State Cross Country Meet on Saturday, October 25th, held at North Rock Creek High School in Shawnee.
