GIRLS BASKETBALL

The Jana Rogers-led Cordell Lady Blue Devils went 1-1 last week, earning their one win in a nail biting overtime game. A third game for the week was canceled.

The girls now sit at 6-10 on the year with two games left on the schedule. On Tuesday, they played Hollis (results unavailabe as of press time). Their final scheduled game is Feb. 16 against Frederick, a home game.

Tues. Feb 2

Navajo 68, Cordell 56

In their battle against the Navajo Lady Indians, freshman Ellie Willard led the team in scoring, putting 27 points on the board for the girls. Her effort was matched by senior Andrea Palmer, who scored 11.

Thurs. Feb 4,

Cordell 46, Minco: 43

In their final game of the week, the Lady Devils played the Minco Lady Bulldogs. The Cordell girls finally secured their hard earned win during overtime.

BOYS BASKETBALL

The Cordell Blue Devils played only one game last week, facing cancellations from their opponents on Tuesday and Friday.

The boys sit at 6-10 on the year with two scheduled games left. On Tuesday night, they played a home game against Hollis (results were unavailable as of press time). The final scheduled game is a tilt against Frederick, a home game on Feb. 16.

Minco 58 Cordell 50

Despite a valiant effort, The Cordell Blue Devil Boys were unable to bring home a win last week. In their game against the Class 2A No. 8-ranked Minco Bulldogs, Brady Reimer led the team in points, scoring 16. Bode Gallagher led the team in defensive rebounds, snatching 12 for the Devils.
