GROWING UP (PART 2)

After we accept Christ as our Savior and become a member of God’s forever-family, why does he leave us here on earth? We have already been assigned a heavenly home, why not just go there now?

On January 19, 2026, the Cordell 4-H group had their first meeting of 2026. We talked about upcoming events, and we practiced our group skit for Share the Fun.Share the Fun was held on February 2nd. We had a lot of performances.

SYMPATHY OR EMPATHY?

I love chocolate. However, I know some people—not many—who dislike chocolate. I can’t fathom not liking chocolate! If I were to give a gift of candy to one of these chocolate- haters, should I give them what I like or what they like?

THE SECRET INGREDIENT IN FOLLOWING JESUS

IN FOLLOWINGWhen someone decides to follow Jesus, they may be overwhelmed by the road ahead. On the one hand, we love Jesus, we are grateful for his sacrifice on our behalf, we value his teaching and his example of serving God and others; but how can a sinner like me live up to such high standards?

DAILY GUIDANCE

God rescued the Hebrew nation from slavery in Egypt, then took them through the Sinai wilderness for forty years. He led them by means of two pillars they could see: a pillar of cloud for the daytime and a pillar of fire for the night (Exodus 13:21).

IT’S A JUBILEE!

If God were to write a national constitution, what would he write? How would it differ from our constitution? In a sense, God has done that. We can read his design for a nation in the Old Testament laws he gave to Moses for the foundation of Israel.

Are you a foreigner? Or a stranger? Actually, according to the Bible we are both!The phrase “foreigners and strangers” occurs frequently throughout scripture.

A BODY UPGRADE

New Year’s resolutions often focus on getting in better shape or better health. But, as well-intentioned as such resolutions are, they can’t undo the opening line of the poem by Solomon: “There is a time for everything… a time to be born and a time to die.” (Ecclesiastes 3:1-2).
