We start off November with cooler temperatures and ending October with much needed rain for our area.

There are many things happening at Cordell Memorial Hospital that I would like to share with you to start off November.

There will be a celebration for National Rural Health Day on November 16. We want to invite everyone to come the hospital that day in the afternoon we will be having a celebration with cake and punch. The winners of the annual National Rural Health Day coloring contest with the schools in Washita County will be recognized during the celebration.

There are two new services starting at CMH during November. One is the Pulmonary Rehab services and the other is Sr. Life. Both of these are outpatient services to help you be at home for your care.

The Pulmonary Rehab is for those people who struggle with respiratory problems and can help you to better breathing. The program will help to improve lung function, reduce respiratory symptoms, increase your exercise capacity, enhance your quality of life and reduce hospitalizations The other program that is starting is Sr. Life. The program is designed to meet the needs of individuals typically 65 and older experiencing depression and/or anxiety related to life changes that are often associated with aging. It is a voluntary program offering group, individual or family therapy. Many individuals who attend the program experience learning how to care for their emotional and mental health.

We are excited to share that the next service we will be starting soon will be the Women’s Care Clinic. I will be sharing more regarding this service in the coming updates and as always check out our Facebook page.

We are here to help you stay home and provide services to meet your continued healthcare needs.

If you need anything from us or have services you would like to have at Cordell please let me know, call 580-832-3339.

For your health and wellness,

Melinda
