The Board discussed emergency services to the Burns Flat Ambulance Service district. The Town of Burns Flat will be meeting on July 6, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. to approve a contract with Sinor Emergency Services through December 31, 2026. The District Attorney has approved the use of the county sales tax earmarked for the Burns Flat Ambulance Service to pay the service contract. No action was taken.
The Board discussed forming a committee to provide information to the public regarding a 522 ambulance district. Mike Morel, City of Cordell, stated the city would be interested in having a representative on a committee. No action was taken.
Motion made by Gossen seconded by Gray to enter into executive session at 9:18 a.m. for the purpose of confidential communications between a public body and its attorney concerning a pending investigation and claim that disclosure will seriously impair the ability to process the claim or conduct a pending investigation, litigation, or proceeding in the public interest pursuant to 25 O.S. §307(B)(4). Chairman Chandler stated the District Attorney and Auditor’s Office would be in contact with offices regarding adjusted leave balances. Motion made by Gossen seconded by Gray to adjust the compensatory time leave balances of employees who do not meet the qualifications for earned compensatory time as defined by the Washita County Employee Personnel Handbook and the Fair Labor Standards Act, effective July 1, 2025.
