All-District honors pour in for football team

The Cordell Blue Devils football team’s season ended with a loss in the second round of the playoffs, but their strong showing netted the team several All-District A-2 honors.

A look back at a successful season

Here is one last look at some of The Beacon’s favorite moments from the 2020 Cordell Blue Devils football season. The team had a 3-5 win/loss record, and advanced to the second round in the postseason playoffs.

Cordell school district reverses course, allows athletic practices

In November, Cordell Schools made the decision to move to distance learning to help stem the spread of COVID-19. That decision also included a decision to halt all basketball or wrestling practices, scrimmages or games until after Dec. 7.
