Get ready to slam dunk your Friday night plans because Cordell Basketball’s Meet the Players event is tipping off this Friday, November 14th, at 6:00 p.m. in the Cordell High School Gymnasium!
But before the fun hits the court, come hungry! A delicious dinner will be served starting at 5:00 p.m., featuring Mike’s Meats Pulled Pork Sandwiches, chips, baked beans, two cookies, and Karli’s Iced Chest Tea for only $8! It’s a meal fit for a champion served in the gymnasium lobby (and way easier than cooking at home). Every bite benefits the Cordell basketball program, covering any necessary equipment purchases and team expenses.
This isn’t your average meet-and-greet. This is your chance to meet the ballers of tomorrow and today, from 5th grade through 12th grade, all under one roof with a ton of energy, laughter, and maybe a few airballs.
Feeling competitive? Test your luck (and your aim) with fan-favorite games! Try your hand at the Duck Toss for just $1 a duck, because who doesn’t love throwing things for prizes? Or step into the court chaos with Gotcha at $10 per person, where it’s every baller for themselves.
Get in on the Player Auction, where you can literally buy a chance to school a player! Choose your challenge: 1.Block Shots – $10 each, because everyone wants to feel like LeBron at least once.
2.Free Throws – $15 each. 3.3-Point Shots – $25 each, nothing but net, or nothing but air, we’ll find out!
4.Half Court Shots – $50 each. Plus, meet the Coaches, the always-energetic Cheerleaders, and the one-and-only Mascot.
