The Dill Work and Play OHCE met February 11, 2025 for regular meeting in the home of Wilma Gathright at 1:30 pm. Wilma called the meeting to order.
The Flag Salute was led by Lowayne Piercey. Anna Pricket led the song K-K-K Katy. Emma Bingham gave the Thought of the Day, Friendship, using Proverbs 27:9 and 1 Thessalonians 5:11.
Emma called roll with, “Do you get 8 hours of sleep each night? 6 members answered, Jane Shull was working on the election board. Emma than read the minutes from the Jan. meeting.
Anna gave a treasures report and collected money for projects. Wilma gave a Parliamentarian Point. Lowayne gave a 4-H Report, the 4-H held the Share-the-Fun, and there were 24 acts. They had some very good entertainment.
Wilma gave the lesson “Sleep is a Super Power.” She gave a hand out and some good tips how to get better sleep. Anna gave the tip, Sleep before 12 pm is like 2 hours and sleep after 12pm is like 1 hour.
Wilma shared cultural arts: 2 Cowl neck scarfs, 2 lap blankets, a wall hanging of laundry day, a pillow made by her granddaughter, and a fun shelf filled with fun miniature items.
We also discussed our field trip. We plan one in May for OHCE Week and one just for a short outing but will make final plans next month with Jane present. Our short outing will also be a makeup meeting.
Wilma gave the door prize and it was won by Lowayne. Wilma served delicious snacks with the help of Sue Huddleston and Anita Clayton. Anna led the Lord’s Prayer and the meeting was dismissed with fellowship and snacks.
Lowayne took records of activities done by OHCE Members. Attending were Wilma Gathright, Emma Bingham, Anna Prickett, Anita Clayton, Sue Huddleston and Lowayne Piercey.
