Cordell Memorial Hospital

A Message from Melinda Laird, CEO/CNO

It is hard to believe that we are halfway through the summer and we know the heat is still to come. Please keep yourself hydrated and cool as much as possible, rest your body when you have been out in the heat.

The CMH Women’s Clinic is off to a great start with great success. We are expanding from two days per week to three days per week by the end of July. Watch our Facebook page for updates on the hours and events. We will be having an open house so that if you haven’t had the chance to come and see us you can visit to see what we have got going for you. We are excited to offer these services to the women of Cordell and Washita County. Please contact us to schedule your appointment.

July’s health observance include International Self Care Day on July 24. This is a day we encourage you to prioritize self-care to increase quality of life, boost self-esteem, improve energy and lower risk of anxiety and depression. July is also Social Awareness Month. Use this month to break out of your fixed routine and meet new people. Social wellness is all about your capability to bond with others and build satisfying relationships. This is found to develop new hobbies and embark on journeys.

Our first Back to School Bash will be held on August 1st at the Washita County Activity Center. At the bash we will be offering back to school supplies, vaccines for those needed, activities, health screenings and much more. There will be more information on our Facebook page and ads in the Beacon. We excited to bring this to Washita County and getting everyone ready to get back to school and staying cool.

Please watch for updates on our Facebook and our website. Anything we can do to help you or services you would like to see please contact us a 580-832-3339.

For your health and wellness,

Melinda
