Cordell Memorial Hospital

A Message from Melinda Laird, CEO/CNO

We continue servicing Summer Kid Feeding and want to encourage you to come eat with us. You come into CMH and go through the line then sit down and enjoy time for lunch. We have celebrated those who come enjoying our time and sharing with us. We look forward to more coming this summer. The CMH Women’s Clinic is off to a great start with great success our first weeks of June. We are excited to offer these services to the women of Cordell and Washita County. The services provided will be for women of all ages, first time, menopausal, prenatal and postpartum care, the list can go on. We are adding a Nurse Midwife and a Nurse Practitioner who is also a lactation consultant. Please contact us to schedule your appointment.

In June we added Lung Screening with St. Anthony’s Pulmonologist by ways of Telehealth. The Lung Screen is done in our radiology department and the tele visit identifies any further testing or procedure to help with your lung function. If there is a need for Pulmonary Rehabilitation, we provide that service to you at CMH.

The Tele-hospitalist is expanding to include specialist that will be consulted in hopes of keeping you at home. The services include pulmonary, cardiology, neurology and nephrology. When a consult is needed for any of these specialist they are contacted and provide care at CMH. In expanding the services we are expanding the education and knowledge of our staff utilizing our services.

The weather is warming up and it is important to hydrate yourself and keep it going for the summer. We are outside more, the sun and activity impacts hydration and this is when you need to drink more water. Other ways in addition to water include eating more fruits and vegetables, this rebalances our bodies.

Please watch for updates on our Facebook and our website. Anything we can do to help you or services you would like to see please contact us a 580-832-3339.

For your health and wellness,

Melinda
