Cordell Blue Devil Football Report

The Cordell Blue Devils made the long trip down 183 to take on the Snyder Cyclones last Friday night.

A dreary, rainy day turned into a long night as the rain continued to fall on us. From the time we pulled into Snyder until we left, we were drenched.

It was another long, hard night for the Blue Devils. Weather conditions were not favorable, nor was the score, but just like the rain our boys never quit that night.

Offensively, we had one of our better games of the season. We just couldn’t find the end zone.

We were able to move the ball and the chains, but we couldn’t capitalize.

Senior JD Maddox started at quarterback and despite the conditions, was able to throw the ball and get us some yards.

Senior Aiden Middendorf was able to haul in a few passes for positive yards.

Sophomore Dayton Bartlett was once again the workhorse for us in the backfield and was able to put up some good numbers.

Aiden and Sophomore Harlee Taylor were able to capitalize on some opportunities and gain some yards for us.

We will be wrapping up our season this Friday night. We will be welcoming the other Blue Devils from Walters to town. They are a really good football team. Solid on both sides of the ball. But it’s nothing were not used to.

All season long, this team has faced adversity. We have played with less and less players every week. We have played beat up and sore. We do the best job we can to prep for every game.

These boys practice and prepare each week. We know it is a battle every time we take the field.

We will be celebrating our Seniors on Friday night, starting at 6:15. So come out and watch the last game of the year.

If you can’t make it out, tune in on the ‘Tube at Blue Devil TV.

Mike and Dudley have been calling our games all year. Kick off is at 7:00 here at Blue Devil Stadium.

WE’RE WITH YOU BLUE, SO FIGHT! B.I.T.S
