A Message from Melinda Laird, CEO/CNO
We kicked off Can-struction for the 2022 Pumpkin Festival with letters being sent to businesses and schools for participation in this event.
Remember this is building sculptures of canned food, hence the word “Can-struction” that will provide cans of food to be donated to our local food bank. There will be competition on various points of the construction.
It’s going to be fun to see how creative we are and how much we are able to provide to the Food Bank.
CMH will be providing education to the community in October and November. The evening of October 11 at 6:00p.m., there will be information for you about Advance Directives and DNR. These are important no matter your age and it’s important to share with your family.
November 8 at 6:00p.m., will be the second offering and this will be information about Medicare Advantage as well as answer your questions about options for coverage as the time to select your coverage starts.
We will have this information on our Facebook page and Website. Both offerings will be at CMH in the dining room.
I am ending this message with a great THANK YOU to the Cordell EMS/ Firefighters. They work hard to cover Cordell and meet the urgent needs and beyond for those that live in Cordell. Also thank you goes to Washita County, the commissioners and county clerk for their support of these front line responders. It is vitally important that they have the vehicles and equipment to get you that first line rescue and care. It is also important that we thank them for being part of the health care of Washita County. Next time you see a member of the EMS or Fire Department be sure and thank them for being here for you.
For your health and wellness,
Melinda
