Cordell Memorial Hospital

A Message from Melinda Laird, CEO/CNO

Fall is arriving soon with changing colors for the leaves, pumpkins and maybe consistent cooler weather. October is the Pumpkin Festival, a great time for all in Cordell. This year CMH will be initiating an activity during the Pumpkin Festival that we hope businesses, school groups will join in to support our community.

“Can-struction” is not new but will be new for Cordell. We will be sending out letters and posting on Facebook the contest and the rules and want to invite any business, school group, or group of friends or family that want to share in the fun.

We will building sculptures of canned food, hence the word “Can-struction” that will provide cans of food to be donated to our local food bank. There will be competition on various points of the construction. Lots to share and more to come.

School is back and we are back in our school routines and being together for class, band, sports, and stock shows. I encourage you to wash your hands, cover you cough and keep a distance as able. This is not just about COVID, this about cold & flu season, RSV and all the things we share. Take care of yourself and your family.

The month of August has been the month to recognize and celebrate the CMH Family Clinic. You have seen their pictures on Facebook and the Beacon. We are proud of the family clinic and the care they provide to the community. The Cordell sport physicals were a great success with over 120 physicals. This is the highest number the clinic has provided in the past.

The Clinic has 3 fulltime providers that are here to provide a number of services with the personal touch you get from our team of providers. They also are adding services and treatments.

We post frequently on Facebook and our website with information.

We are here for you. Any questions about our services or possible future services please contact me at 580-832-3339.
