Cordell Memorial Hospital

A Message from Melinda Laird, CEO/CNO

A great big THANK YOU to all who have supported the hygiene drive. There has been a wonderful response through our churches and our community who dropped items at the hospital. We will continue to collect throughout the year and will send out reminders. Any time you have items please bring them to CMH.

THANK YOU!!!! Keep your eyes open to what we will be doing for the Pumpkin Festival!!!!!

It seems we would eventually be able to stop updating about COVID but as you know we can’t. There has been increases in Washita County with the newest strain of COVID. Washita County had been zero until this summer. We are not at the volume we were last year but it is important to keep our eyes on symptoms and patients. The struggle and why COVID will be a Public Health Emergency at least through the end of year, is that a new strain comes up, school is starting, and overall we have been getting back together in bigger groups. Vaccines, boosters, washing your hands, and covering your mouth when you cough are all the right things to help you stay away from COVID.

We can talk about monkey pox but at this time there have been no cases in Washita County. It is a skin to skin exposure, be aware. CMH reviews numbers every week from the state and every day from the hospital and the clinic. We are here to take care of you!

The new services started this summer continue to grow, Infusion service and Nuclear Medicine testing. There are more services coming this fall that include Wound Care, Women’s Service and Senior Solutions. These will be posted on our Facebook, website and the Beacon Health page as we get them started.

We post frequently on Facebook and our website with information. We are here for you. Any questions about our services or possible future services please contact me at 580-832-3339.

For your health and wellness,
