A Message from Melinda Laird, CEO/CNO
We are in the last week of February and I hope that you have taken care of your heart. The three things that you hopefully started this month looking at the healthy habit and now you can start another heart-healthy habit. Remember, you take an active role in reducing your risk for heart disease. Do you need more education and ways to prevent your risks? It’s important once you start healthy habits to keep them going and have them be a part of living life fully and longer.
CMH wants to be an active part of the healthy living you are starting this month. Ways that we can be an active part is provide services and education to keep you informed and involved in your healthy life.
At the end of March, March 31 through April 2 we be hosting with Western Oklahoma Wellness/Washita County, a Health Fair. Washita County Wellness/CMH Health will have days at CMH and days at the Washita County Activity Center.
We are excited about all opportunities for everyone to learn about their health and learn more for their safety. There will be something for whole family. Many of our county services as well services from SWOSU, Red Cross, OBI, and Health Dept. will be available to give you the right information for you and your family.
Oklahoma Foundation for Medical Quality (OFMQ) is working with Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) to improve health outcomes in communities in Oklahoma. We are in the Western Oklahoma Consortium. CMH is excited for the opportunity to be a part of this consortium to be involved with our Washita county communities.
More information will be coming during March and if you have any questions or would like to participate in the health fair please contact CMH, 580- 832-3339.
For your health and wellness,
Melinda
