Imagining is a diagnostic tool used to determine causes of pain, injury and infection. It is the medical discipline that uses medical imaging to diagnose and treat diseases or injuries within the body.

At CMH we offer different options for imagining that include x-ray, CT or Ultrasound. Any of these can be ordered by your physician to have done at your community hospital, CMH so that you don’t have venture far. I want to share with you the differences in the imaging that we provide. First, ultrasound imaging uses sound waves to create images of internal organs, structures and tissues.

Diagnostic ultrasound is used to determine the causes of pain, swelling, and infections in the body’s internal organs. It can also be used as a guide during a procedure. Musculoskeletal ultrasound is used to diagnose sport injuries by looking at real time images of muscles, tendons, ligaments, nerves and cartilage.

Radiology tests that use technology such as x-rays or computed tomography (CT Scans). These involve the process of taking an image of the injured, malformed area or diagnostic area in helping the medical team to make a diagnosis and develop a treatment plan. When you have a
