The Cordell Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the return of Cordell’s 4th of July Hometown Celebration, taking place on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at the Washita County Activity Center and throughout the community. This annual tradition brings together families, friends, and visitors for a full day of patriotic fun, small-town charm, and unforgettable memories.
The day will kick off with the National Anthem, which will be sung just before the parade on the south side of the Washita County Activity Center by the flag pole. Immediately following, the 4th of July Parade will begin at 9 a.m., with lineup starting at 8:30 a.m.. The parade will take place right in front of the Washita County Activity Center, making it easy for attendees to enjoy the kickoff before heading straight into the day’s activities.
We would also love to honor our veterans during the parade. Any veterans who would like to participate are more than welcome to join us- we encourage you to come be a part of this special moment as we recognize your service to our country.
Immediately following the parade, the celebration continues at the Washita County Activity Center from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., featuring a variety of activities for all ages.
Event highlights include:
• Car Show (Registration from 9 a.m. 11 a.m.)
