One race has developed for Cordell’s Municipal Election, which will be held on April 1, 2025. Two candidates, Darryl Anthony and James Newman, Jr. filed for the unexpired term of Cordell City Council Member representing Ward 3. That seat is currently held by Cheri Nabors. Nabors chose to file for the full-term seat for Ward 3.
Filing unopposed were incumbents Sheri Parsons, Ward 1; Tad Boone, Ward 4; Karla Ferrero, City Clerk; and Lawana Price, City Treasurer.
Marla Harper filed unopposed for the Ward 2 seat which is currently held by Earlene Smith, who did not seek re-election.
Voters must be registered by March 7th to vote in the municipal election.
