Washita Co. Commissioners minutes

Now on the 21st day of January 2025, the County Commissioners in and for Washita County met in regular session with Chairman Gossen calling the meeting to order.

Chairman Gossen asked Kristen Dowell, County Clerk, for roll call. Roll call was answered by Gossen, present; Gray, present; Chandler, present.

The Board reviewed the minutes of the January 13, 2025 regular meeting. Motion made by Chandler seconded by Gray to approve the minutes as presented. Gossen, yes; Gray, yes; Chandler, yes.

The Board reviewed the minutes of the January 14, 2025 special meeting. Motion made by Chandler seconded by Gray to approve the minutes as presented. Gossen, yes; Gray, yes; Chandler, yes.

Motion made by Gossen seconded by Chandler to sign the Rural Economic Action Plan (REAP) Contract between South Western Oklahoma Development Authority (SWODA) and Washita County for the grant received by the Cloud Chief Fire Department. Gossen, yes; Gray, yes; Chandler, yes.

Motion made by Gray seconded by Chandler to sign the Resolution appointing Greg Chandler to the Circuit Engineering District #7 Board. Gossen, yes; Gray, yes; Chandler, yes.

Motion made by Chandler seconded by Gray to approve the agreement between Standley Systems and the Washita County Sheriff’s Department for a copy machine. Gossen, yes; Gray, yes; Chandler, yes.

Motion made by Gossen seconded by Chandler to sign the lease agreement between the Vogt family and Washita County for the use of storage space for road materials for District 1 in the W/2 of the SW/4 of Section 17, Township 9 North, Range 14 West. Gossen, yes; Gray, yes; Chandler, yes.

Motion made by Gray seconded by Chandler to sign Resolution No. 2025-10 declaring the following equipment surplus for District 2: D417-0004 – Generator and D417-0005 – Generator. Gossen, yes; Gray, yes; Chandler, yes.

Motion made by Chandler seconded by Gray to approve the agreement between Lighthouse Web Design & Marketing and the Washita County Sheriff’s Department for a website design project. Gossen, yes; Gray, yes; Chandler, yes.

Motion made Chandler seconded by Gray to sign the Emergency Management Performance Grant Time and Effort form certifying to the State that Kenneth Trent spends 75% of his time performing his duties as Emergency Manager. Gossen, yes; Gray, yes; Chandler, yes.
