HIGHEST HONOR: AMERICAN FFA DEGREE

Cheyann Edison, a 2023 graduate from Cordell High School and alumni of the Cordell FFA Chapter received her American FFA Degree at the 97th National FFA Convention in Indianapolis,IN. After graduating high school, she has continued her studies at Redlands Community College to pursue a degree in Agricultural Education with a certificate in Livestock Insemination. She is currently a member of the Beef Team, serves as an Ag Ambassador, and a member of the Aggie Club. After her time at RCC, she plans to attend Oklahoma State University to finish earning her Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Degree in Agricultural Education.

The American FFA Degree is the highest degree achievable by an FFA member at the National Level. Only 1% FFA members go on to receive their American FFA Degree and this year there was 199 recipients from Oklahoma. Cheyann Edison is the first recipient from the Cordell FFA Chapter in the last 10 years to receive this award. Well done, and here’s to a future filled with growth, innovation, and success!
