Motion made by Gossen seconded by Goeringer to elect Greg Chandler to serve as a trustee on the South Western Oklahoma Development Authority (SWODA) board for the term ending on December 31, 2026. Gossen, yes; Goeringer, yes; Chandler, yes.

Kristen Dowell, County Clerk, informed the Board that effective November 1, 2024, the sheriff deputies and jailers would be required to participate in the Oklahoma Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS) Hazard Duty plan, increasing their contributions by 4.5% for a total of 8%. No action was taken. Motion made by Chandler seconded by Gossen to award safety awards in the maximum amount of $200 for those employees who meet the eligibility criteria. Amounts of employees who have worked a partial year will be prorated by the number of quarters worked. Gossen, yes; Goeringer, yes; Chandler, yes.
