Cordell Public School is excited to announce a new partnership with the Oklahoma-based Thrive Learning Collaborative. This initiative offers students an innovative approach to education while keeping them connected to their beloved school community. It provides high-quality online instruction from Thrive’s certified Oklahoma teachers, giving students the flexibility they need without transferring schools.
Beginning this school year, Cordell students can enroll in Thrive Learning Collaborative’s virtual learning programs, allowing them to benefit from the personalized instruction that online learning offers.
Thrive’s certified teachers are well-equipped to deliver engaging and effective lessons tailored to meet each student’s unique learning needs.
One of the most significant advantages of this collaboration is that students can maintain their full enrollment at Cordell Public School, preserving their identity as Cordell Blue Devils. This means no disruption or transfer is necessary, ensuring students can continue to benefit from the vibrant school community they are part of.
“We’re very excited about Thrive and the partnership and what we can do and provide for our students here at Cordell. You can do a complete online option or what we call a hybrid model, where you spend two hours enrolled in Cordell classes on campus or with extracurricular activities. The landscape of education has changed. There are so many options out there, and we are excited to offer a virtual option that keeps students enrolled in Cordell Public Schools; they can graduate as a Cordell Blue Devil, but at the same time, we still allow them to try different options but still be a part of our student activity, whether that is band, ag, athletics, or even enrolled in a class on campus with a particular teacher because that class excites them. The hybrid option is a response to a lot of our community members. It allows us to expand our catalog and our offerings,” said Cordell Superintendent Travis Victory.
Students enrolled in the Blended Course Options will not only receive high-quality online instruction but also have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of extracurricular activities offered at Cordell Public School. From athletics to arts, these activities are designed to foster personal growth and engagement, enriching the overall learning experience.
“We will also work with the student’s family if the student wants to stay for lunch or find other options to take advantage of our grant that we received for free lunch for the students. We would love for them to be able to utilize that as well. What we are hoping is to really meet the needs of families and students. Education has changed so much from what it was to where it is now,” said Victory.

We want to continue offering all kinds of opportunities for the families in our district, and we understand that there are different needs and ideas about what is best. We love that this is an option that allows parents to choose and have a choice in the education for their child. The school sees this as an opportunity to meet that need,” expressed Victory.
